Salary

  • Unqualified: Base salary of £27,866.34, earning up to £33,447.67 with sleep-in shifts
  • Qualified: Base salary of £29,181.57, earning up to £34,762.90 with sleep-in shifts

Your Role

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in our children's residential home. Your mission will be to support young people facing challenging behaviors, requiring a blend of flexibility, resilience, and strong organizational skills. You will be committed to delivering high-quality care that empowers each young person to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate support to young people in a residential setting.
  • Maintain clear and organized records in compliance with statutory and policy standards.
  • Engage, motivate, and encourage young people to reach their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with a dedicated team to create a nurturing environment.

Essential Skills

  • Full manual driving license.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive team player attitude.
  • Empathetic, patient, and supportive nature.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with young people.
  • Level 3 Children & Young People qualification, or willingness to work towards it (fully funded).

Working Conditions

This is a permanent role with fantastic career prospects and comprehensive training within a growing organization. You will work an average of 38 hours per week on a 2 days on/4 days off shift pattern, including 2 sleep-ins. Enjoy generous allowances for bank holidays, overtime, and a performance-related bonus!
