Inside, our refurbished facilities include vibrant classrooms for science, computing, music, drama, and art/DT.

Your Role

As a One-to-One Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of our students. Your responsibilities will include:

• Mentoring and supporting one pupil or a small group of no more than six.
• Assisting the classroom teacher during lessons.
• Reporting on pupil progress and collaborating with staff to meet individual needs.
• Supervising pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
• Assisting with lesson planning and classroom preparation.
• Setting and marking work as appropriate.
• Building positive relationships with pupils to foster engagement and learning.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• A strong educational background, ideally to A-level, with at least GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics.
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
• Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs in an educational setting.
• Confidence to take on additional responsibilities, such as food hygiene or leading activities like forest school or yoga.
• Skills in behavior management and a commitment to professional development.
