Your Compensation Package
- Competitive Base Salary: £45,378 (including London Weighting Allowance, if applicable).
- On-Target Earnings: Potential to earn up to £57,000.
- Guaranteed Overtime: Options to boost your earnings with additional overtime and bonuses.
- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays.

Your Work Environment
You’ll be part of the Holloway cluster, covering areas like Holloway, Islington, Highbury, Finsbury Park, Camden, and Kentish Town. Enjoy the freedom of working in your local area with a clear schedule of pre-booked appointments.
What to Expect Daily
Your day starts with a clear digital schedule, and you’ll be responsible for:
- Routine servicing
- Advanced diagnostics
- In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop
- Providing member advice and recommendations
- Conducting vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards
With SMR, you’ll have everything you need from day one: a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, full tool set, and advanced diagnostics. Use your technical skills to help our members get back on the road safely and confidently!
What You’ll Need
- Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
