Your Rewarding Role
As a Mobile Vehicle Technician, you’ll enjoy:
- Competitive Base Salary: Start with a base salary of £45,370 (including London Weighting Allowance, if applicable), with on-target earnings of up to £57,000.
- Guaranteed Overtime: Choose to work extra rest days at £30 per hour after your first month, giving you the potential to earn an additional £3,000 to £5,000 per year.
- Structured Work Hours: Enjoy a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays.

Your Daily Experience
Your day begins with a clear digital schedule, where each job is pre-booked and waiting for you. You’ll be responsible for:
- Routine servicing
- Advanced diagnostics
- In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop
- Providing member advice and recommendations
- Conducting vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards
From day one, you’ll be equipped with a fully stocked RAC van, fuel card, uniform, and a complete tool set. Your technical skills will shine as you help our members get back on the road safely and confidently.
What You’ll Need
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
