Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are on the lookout for a Principal Mechanical Engineering Team Leader to join our dynamic MEP team in Liverpool, Manchester, or Leeds. This is your chance to lead innovative projects and make a real impact in the engineering world!

Location & Working Conditions

Location: Liverpool, Manchester, or Leeds - with opportunities for agile working.

Hours: 40 hours per week - enjoy some flexibility in your schedule; just let us know what works for you!

Salary: Starting from £70,000 per annum.

Sector: MEP – across a variety of industry sectors.

Your Role

As a Chartered Engineer and Design Team Leader, you will spearhead the design and delivery of complex M&E building services projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design delivery of high-quality M&E designs across new builds, refurbishments, and minor works projects.
  • Supporting the Head of Service in managing M&E design teams and ensuring coordinated multi-disciplinary design solutions.
  • Overseeing technical delivery, including feasibility studies, designs, specifications, and technical advice.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Contributing to business development through proposals, bids, and presentations.
  • Promoting continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices across the M&E service.
  • Mentoring junior team members on their journey to chartered status.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Are a Chartered Engineer (CIBSE or IET) with a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Building Services Engineering.
  • Have proven senior leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Can communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Are experienced in quality management and design governance.
  • Are fluent in industry-related software and calculation methods.
  • Can meet BPSS security requirements.
