About the Role
Join our vibrant Buffets team at Butlin’s Skegness! We’re on the lookout for experienced chefs who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen and take pride in delivering consistent, high-quality food.
As a key player in our buffet restaurants, you’ll lead and develop a dynamic team that brings our culinary experience to life. Collaborating closely with the Junior Kitchen Manager, you’ll oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, exceptional standards, and full compliance with food safety policies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a clean and organized workstation.
- Setting the standard for Commis Chefs through support, training, and mentorship.
- Ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and safely.
This is a full-time, permanent role, offering 35 hours per week across 5 days, including weekends, with pay received fortnightly. Shifts are as follows:
- Breakfast: 4am – 12pm
- Dinner: 11am – 7:30pm
Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of our business. For those over 18 relocating to the area, live-in accommodation may be available (subject to DBS).
About You
We’re seeking chefs with proven experience in a busy, high-volume kitchen. This role is not suitable for beginners or those without professional kitchen experience.
You should be:
- Hardworking, reliable, and determined.
- Committed to high standards with a desire for continuous improvement.
- Understanding of the impact great food and teamwork have on guest experiences.
- Energetic and enthusiastic, ready to inspire your team.
Holding a Level 3 Food Safety qualification, you’ll confidently lead others in a fast-paced environment. You’ll also manage margins, control costs, and maintain excellent hygiene, health, and safety practices.
Our chefs play a vital role in keeping guests returning to Butlin’s, so we’re looking for someone who is not only skilled but also fun, team-spirited, and passionate about creating memorable experiences for every guest, every time.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for team members who can add that extra sparkle to our guests' holidays by keeping our resort clean, tidy, and pristine. If you’re ready to go the extra mile for our team and guests, we’d love to welcome you!
We are looking for candidates who:
- Can clean our main venues and toilets, using electrical and mechanical cleaning equipment (full training provided).
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely (full training provided).
- Perform external road cleaning, including emptying general waste and recycling bins.
- Move furniture to accommodate various activities within venues.
- Clean and disinfect toilets and changing rooms.
Normal working hours are:
- Evening shift: 5pm - 2am
Please note that due to the nature of the role, applicants must be over 18. Start and finish times may vary depending on the break type.
