About the Role

Join our vibrant Buffets team at Butlin’s Skegness! We’re on the lookout for experienced chefs who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen and take pride in delivering consistently high-quality food.

As a key player in our buffet restaurants, you’ll lead and develop a dynamic team that brings unforgettable dining experiences to life. Collaborating closely with the Junior Kitchen Manager, you’ll oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, top-notch standards, and strict adherence to food safety policies.

Your role will involve maintaining a clean, organized workstation while setting the standard for the Commis Chefs you support, train, and mentor. Your leadership will not only keep the kitchen running smoothly but also foster growth in your team.

This is a full-time, permanent position, requiring 35 hours per week across 5 days, including weekends. Shifts are paid fortnightly, with breakfast shifts from 4 AM to 12 PM and dinner shifts from 11 AM to 7:30 PM. Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of our business. Plus, live-in accommodation may be available for those over 18 relocating to the area (subject to DBS).

About You

We’re seeking chefs with proven experience in a busy, high-volume kitchen. This role is not suitable for beginners or those without professional kitchen experience.

You should be hardworking, reliable, and determined, with a genuine commitment to high standards and a desire for continuous improvement. You’ll understand how great food and teamwork enhance the guest experience, bringing energy and enthusiasm to help your team shine.

Holding a Level 3 Food Safety qualification, you’ll confidently lead others in a fast-paced environment. You’ll also manage margins, control costs, and maintain excellent hygiene, health, and safety practices.

Our chefs play a crucial role in keeping guests returning to Butlin’s, so we’re looking for someone who is not only skilled but also fun, team-spirited, and passionate about creating memorable experiences for every guest, every time.

Key Responsibilities

As part of our cleaning team, you’ll add that extra sparkle to our guests' holidays by ensuring our resort remains clean, tidy, and pristine. If you’re ready to go the extra mile for our team and our guests, we’d love to welcome you aboard!

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Can clean our main venues and toilets, using electrical and mechanical cleaning equipment (full training provided)
  • Handle chemicals safely for cleaning venues (full training provided)
  • Perform external road cleaning, including emptying general waste and recycling bins
  • Move furniture to accommodate various activities within venues
  • Clean and disinfect toilets and changing rooms

Normal Working Hours: Evening shifts from 5 PM to 2 AM. Please note that due to the nature of the role, applicants must be over 18. Start and finish times may vary depending on the break type.
