Kier STEP Fusion Programme – Expression of Interest
About Kier
At Kier Group, we are on a mission to sustainably deliver vital infrastructure across the UK, creating lasting legacies for our clients and the communities we serve. With an impressive order book exceeding £10bn, we are dedicated to building resilience and providing innovative solutions that meet the UK's long-term infrastructure and energy needs.
Within our Natural Resources, Nuclear, and Networks business, we are playing a pivotal role in the UK's transition to clean, secure, and sustainable energy. We believe in Building for a Sustainable World, and next-generation energy solutions are at the heart of this ambition.
Be Part of Delivering the UK's Fusion Future
Fusion energy holds the promise of abundant low-carbon, safe, and reliable baseload energy, supporting climate action and long-term energy independence. While the technical challenges are significant, the potential rewards are transformative.
Leading this charge is the STEP (Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production), the UK's flagship programme aimed at delivering a prototype fusion energy plant by 2040. This initiative will transition to UK Fusion Energy (UKFE), uniting industrial partners and engineering expertise to realize this world-class programme.
As Kier positions itself to support STEP, we invite expressions of interest from individuals eager to contribute to this groundbreaking project.
