Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility available!
Salary: Starting from £70,000 per annum
Sector: MEP across a variety of industry sectors

Your Role
As a Chartered Engineer and Design Team Leader, you will spearhead the design and delivery of complex M&E building services projects across various sectors. Your leadership will ensure technical excellence and compliance while fostering collaboration with project teams and clients for a major main contractor.

Your Responsibilities
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Lead the design delivery of high-quality M&E designs across new builds, refurbishments, and minor works projects.
- Support the Head of Service in managing M&E design teams and delivering coordinated multi-disciplinary design solutions.
- Oversee team performance, ensuring alignment with workload and business targets.
- Manage technical delivery, including feasibility studies, designs, specifications, and technical advice.
- Maintain engineering standards, QA procedures, and Health & Safety policies.
- Build strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to business development through proposals, submissions, and presentations.
- Provide senior technical leadership and ensure integrated design solutions through to completion.
- Promote continuous improvement and best practices across the M&E service.
- Represent Kier in industry forums and working groups.
- Mentor junior team members on their journey to chartered status.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
- Are a Chartered Engineer (CIBSE or IET) with a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Building Services Engineering.
- Have proven senior leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Can communicate complex technical information clearly.
- Are experienced in quality management and design governance.
- Are fluent in industry-related software and calculation methods.
- Can meet BPSS security requirements.
