Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a passionate GIS Technician to join our dynamic Design team in Birmingham. Location: Birmingham

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday (some flexibility available)

Salary: £27,000 to £29,000 depending on experience

Your Responsibilities

As a GIS Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in our Digital Delivery team. Your expertise will help us provide top-notch GIS services, including data analysis and processing. You’ll transform complex data into meaningful insights through maps, graphs, and reports.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Ensuring high accuracy in GIS data creation, management, and analysis.
• Advancing GIS solutions that benefit the wider Kier business.
• Providing training on GIS software and applications as needed.
• Preparing maps, reports, and relevant information for stakeholders.
• Capturing location assets using various technologies and GPS tools.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

• You possess a high level of IT competency, with experience in Microsoft Office and complex SQL databases.
• You are familiar with ESRI ArcGIS products across desktop, server/web, and mobile devices.
• You have knowledge of asset management principles and an understanding of GIS applications, spatial analysis, and report generation.
• You stay updated on trends and developments in the geographic information systems field.
