Hours: 37.5 hours per week – some flexibility available!
Salary: Starting from £32,000 per annum
Sector: Structures and Geotechnical – Highways structures

Your Role
As an Assistant Bridge Engineer, you will support our Lead Engineers in delivering both maintenance and new-build schemes. Your contributions will include:
- Assisting in the delivery of highways structures projects
- Conducting investigations, inspections, and data analysis
- Producing technical designs and documentation
- Undertaking site visits and applying relevant standards (DMRB/MCHW)
- Collaborating with the team to meet project targets
- Promoting safety, health, and environmental compliance
Who You Are
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Qualified in Civil Engineering (Degree, HNC, or HND)
- Working towards Incorporated or Chartered status
- Experienced or interested in highways structures design
- Familiar with DMRB / MCHW standards
- A strong team player who thrives in collaboration
