Are you ready to make a difference? We're on the lookout for a Multi-Skilled Electrical Bias Engineer to become a vital part of our team at Neath Port Talbot Hospital in Wales.

Location & Hours

Location: Neath Port Talbot Hospital, Port Talbot

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Shifts include: Days 08:00-16:30, Morning 06:00-14:00, Afternoons 14:00-22:00). We offer some flexibility on hours, so just let us know what works for you!

Your Role

As a Multi-Skilled Electrical Bias Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our facilities operate smoothly and efficiently. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your electrical expertise while working in a supportive team environment. You will be responsible for delivering engineering services across the hospital, ensuring we maintain safe, compliant, and customer-focused operations.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, and installation works, ensuring all SLA/KPI targets are met.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on systems and equipment, taking ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Install new plant and equipment while maintaining excellent standards.
  • Contribute to asset management by providing regular updates and condition ratings.
  • Identify additional work requirements and prepare material and labor estimates.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in electrical engineering, including 18th Edition certification.
  • You are passionate about delivering trusted service with a focus on safety, ethics, and community care.
  • You possess strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and solid technical knowledge.
  • You are eager to develop your professional skills, potentially working towards EngTech accreditation.
