Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a passionate Bridge Engineer to join our dynamic Structures & Geotechnical team in the vibrant city of Birmingham.

About the Role

As a Bridge Engineer at Kier Design, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-profile infrastructure projects, including:

  • National Highways Major Projects
  • National Highways SDF
  • TfL frameworks
  • Northamptonshire schemes
  • South Wales Trunk Road Agency (SWTRA) contracts

Your expertise will be essential in producing technical designs and documentation, supporting the Lead Engineer to ensure that our highways structures maintenance and new-build schemes are delivered on time and within budget.

What We’re Looking For

Are you…

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or HNC/HND equivalent)?
  • Working towards or have achieved IEng / CEng (MICE, MIStructE or equivalent)?
  • Experienced in the inspection, assessment, or design of highways structures?
  • Familiar with Eurocodes and UK standards (DMRB, MCHW)?
  • A proactive team player with strong technical and analytical skills?

Your Responsibilities

As a Bridge Engineer, you will:

  • Produce technical designs, calculations, drawings, and reports
  • Support Lead Engineers on project delivery
  • Assist with maintenance and new-build structures schemes
  • Ensure designs meet client briefs, standards, and programme requirements
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
