Join Our Team as a Reinstatement Operative!
Are you ready to make a difference? We’re looking for a dedicated Reinstatement Operative to join our dynamic South West Water team in Roundswell, Barnstaple. This is your chance to contribute to essential infrastructure while developing your skills in a supportive environment!

Location: Roundswell, Barnstaple
Hours: 45 hours per week

Your Role
As a Reinstatement Operative, you will play a vital role in our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team, supporting the South West Water contract. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out high-quality reinstatement works (tarmac, concrete, modular paving) following excavation.
- Ensuring reinstatement meets HAUC and local authority specifications.
- Operating plant and machinery safely (e.g., rollers, compactors).
- Completing job documentation using tablet-based systems.
- Maintaining site safety and traffic management compliance.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if:
- You have previous experience in highway reinstatement or utilities reinstatement (desired but not essential).
- You hold a Full driving licence (essential).
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to delivering quality results.
- You have a CSCS card, EUSR Water Hygiene, or NRSWA certification (desirable - training can be provided).
- You enjoy collaborating with teams to meet deadlines.
