Location & Hours
Location: Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire (with occasional travel to the office required)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm (with a one-hour lunch break; out-of-hours cover may be required)

Your Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Facilities Management team. Your mission? To ensure our buildings are safe, compliant, and fully operational. You’ll be the first point of contact for mechanical issues, tackling both planned and reactive maintenance tasks. If you thrive on variety and problem-solving, this role is perfect for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance tasks, including Legionella compliance, HVAC systems, pumps, compressors, and AHUs.
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs to mechanical systems and plumbing.
- Accurately record all maintenance activities on our CAFM system using mobile technology.
- Liaise with the helpdesk and contract management team, and induct subcontractors to ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota and conduct weekly site inspections.
What We’re Looking For
This role is a great fit for you if:
- You hold a full driving licence and relevant qualifications such as City and Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3.
- You have experience with renewables, heat pumps, air conditioning, air handling units, and general mechanical maintenance in commercial properties.
- You’re confident using mobile technology to update work systems and communicate effectively with teams and clients.
- You’re comfortable with the physical aspects of the role and committed to maintaining the highest health and safety standards.
