Location & Working Conditions

You'll be based at Optimum House, Clippers Quay, Salford, M50 3XP. We offer remote working options with occasional travel to the office required. Enjoy a flexible work schedule with 37.5 hours per week—just let us know your preferences when we chat!

Your Responsibilities

As a Highways Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of our Design team, delivering high-quality highway schemes and innovative solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Preparing technical design drawings, specifications, and reports in line with DMRB and relevant standards
• Taking responsibility for delivering highway studies and smaller schemes with minimal supervision
• Collaborating closely with senior team members on major projects, owning key design elements
• Conducting site visits and liaising with clients, statutory bodies, and stakeholders to maintain excellent relationships
• Using AutoCAD to provide innovative engineering solutions while ensuring quality standards are met

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

• You hold a Civil Engineering degree or a similar combination of qualifications and experience
• You have experience using AutoCAD and a working knowledge of DMRB standards
• You’re working towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineer accreditation with a relevant professional body
• You have experience delivering a range of projects and can communicate technical information clearly
• You hold a valid driving licence and CSCS card
