Your Role in SMR
In this exciting position, you’ll be part of the Slough cluster, covering areas like Slough, Windsor, Maidenhead, and more. Forget emergency callouts and unpredictable shifts; you’ll work through a scheduled list of jobs, equipped with everything you need to perform quality work.
What to Expect
Your day begins with a clear digital schedule, where each job is pre-booked and waiting for you. Your responsibilities will include:
- Routine servicing
- Advanced diagnostics using mobile equipment
- In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop
- Providing member advice and recommendations
- Conducting vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards
With SMR, you’ll have the time and support to do the job right, without the pressure of reactive breakdowns.
What You’ll Need
- Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
