Are you ready to make a difference in your community? We’re looking for a Highways Operative to join our dedicated team in Brixworth, Northamptonshire. This is your chance to play a vital role in maintaining the infrastructure that keeps our communities connected and safe!

Job Details

Location: Brixworth, Northamptonshire
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £28,000 to £29,800 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications

Your Role

As a Highways Operative, you’ll be an essential part of our highways maintenance team, helping to deliver high-quality repairs and improvements. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:

  • Operate light plant equipment such as compressors, rollers, disc cutters, and vibrating plates, ensuring their daily upkeep.
  • Assist skilled team members with kerbing, drainage, paving, bricklaying, and surfacing works.
  • Excavate materials safely and efficiently using hand and powered tools.
  • Perform general site duties including sweeping, cleaning, litter picking, and handling materials and equipment.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive working environment for all team members.
