Our Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division is a fast-growing part of the RAC, focused on providing structured repair and servicing directly to our members. Here’s what makes this role unique:

• Work through a scheduled list of jobs with the time and tools you need.
• Deliver quality work without the stress of roadside recoveries.

Your Daily Responsibilities

Your day will start with a clear digital schedule, and you’ll be expected to:

• Perform routine servicing and diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Carry out in-depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on your inspections.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards.

What You’ll Need

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• A Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
