Location
You'll be based at the Colchester Primary Care Centre and Fryatt Hospital in Harwich.
Working Hours
Enjoy a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, with some flexibility available to suit your needs. Just let us know when you speak to us!

Your Role
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be the backbone of our Facilities Management team, ensuring our healthcare facilities are safe, functional, and ready to serve. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting planned preventative maintenance, including emergency lighting testing, fire alarm activation testing, and generator testing.
- Responding to reactive electrical tasks, diagnosing faults, and completing first-time fixes whenever possible.
- Accurately recording all maintenance activities on our CAFM system using digital devices.
- Supporting subcontractors through induction, monitoring their work quality, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
- Participating in on-call duties (1 week in 3) to ensure continuous building operations.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if:
- You hold a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installations (such as C&G 236) and possess Inspection and Testing certification (C&G, 18th Edition).
- You have a full driving license and are comfortable traveling between sites.
- You’re tech-savvy and can easily use digital systems and tablets to update work records and complete tasks.
