Are you ready to make a difference? We’re on the lookout for a passionate Engineer to join our dynamic team based in Exeter, Ipswich, or Salford. With the flexibility of remote working and occasional office visits, this is your chance to contribute to exciting projects while enjoying a work-life balance!

Location & Hours

Location: Exeter, Ipswich, or Salford – remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available, just let us know when you speak to us!

Your Responsibilities

As an Engineer – Drainage and Water, you will play a crucial role within our Design team, delivering compliant and sustainable drainage and water solutions. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:

  • Deliver assigned tasks within work packages to a high standard, taking ownership of technical outputs.
  • Apply relevant design standards, regulations, and quality processes consistently.
  • Manage the delivery of individual tasks within programme and budget, escalating issues and proposing solutions.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and technical development within the team, providing guidance to early-career engineers.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You have demonstrable technical competence in Drainage & Water engineering, with experience across one or more sectors.
  • You can work autonomously, taking ownership of technical outputs while supporting wider package delivery.
  • You have experience applying relevant design standards, regulations, and quality processes consistently.
  • You’re aware of programme, budget, and risk considerations for assigned tasks, escalating issues appropriately.
  • You hold a full driving licence and are willing to travel as required.
