Your Responsibilities
As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you will be an essential part of our Operative team, helping to deliver efficient highway services across the Somerset network. Your daily tasks will include:
- Responding promptly to highway defects to ensure public safety and minimal disruption.
- Installing and removing emergency traffic management signage as needed.
- Using tablet devices to maintain accurate records of works and communicate updates.
- Providing excellent customer care through polite and helpful interactions.
- Supporting winter maintenance and severe weather operations as required.
