About The Role

Are you ready to take your culinary career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Junior Kitchen Manager/Sous Chef to join our vibrant team at Papa John’s! Reporting directly to the Kitchen Manager/Head Chef, you’ll play a crucial role in running our kitchen and leading a dynamic team of up to 10 talented individuals.

At the heart of our values is the mission to make our guests smile, and you’ll be instrumental in ensuring that every operational decision keeps our guests at the forefront. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Resource planning and recruitment to build the best team.
  • Monitoring guest experiences and developing action plans for continuous improvement.
  • Managing food cost budgets through effective menu planning and cooking to high standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with food hygiene standards and health and safety regulations.

We’re looking for passionate individuals with experience in a similar role, or those eager to step up in their kitchen career. If you have your Level 3 Food Safety qualification and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

While previous experience at Papa John’s and achieving your ROC or AROC qualification is a plus, it’s not essential as we provide full training.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Your Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
  • Confidence in leading a team to maintain high standards in a busy kitchen.

As a chef at this level, you’ll also be responsible for managing margins, controlling costs, and ensuring health, safety, and hygiene standards are met. We want someone who is not only skilled but also fun and eager to contribute to our team culture!
