Key Responsibilities

  • Food Waste Minimisation: Implement strategies to reduce waste and optimize resources.
  • Team Hours and Utilisation: Manage team schedules to ensure peak efficiency.
  • Health and Safety: Uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Food Standards: Champion food quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Guest NPS: Monitor and enhance guest satisfaction through exceptional food experiences.
  • Team ENPS: Foster a positive work environment that encourages team engagement.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Manage daily kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, and presentation.
  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team, creating a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings to allocate tasks and monitor staff attendance.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety standards.
  • Take accountability for food quality, ensuring adherence to cooking methods and specifications.
  • Regularly conduct taste tests to align our offerings with guest expectations.
  • Communicate guest numbers and expectations to the team during briefings.
  • Order ingredients and manage budgets to minimize waste.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to sanitation standards.
  • Handle team rotas in the absence of the Senior Kitchen Manager.
  • Track daily food costs using the Food Costs Tracker software.
  • Ensure all team members comply with company policies and standards.
  • Be a visible presence in the kitchen, providing support and maintaining high standards.
  • Monitor equipment functionality and address issues promptly.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork and ensure daily closing checks are done.
  • Lead the training and development of team members, supporting their career progression.
