Location

You'll be based at the Colchester Primary Care Centre and Fryatt Hospital in Harwich.

Working Hours

Enjoy a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, with some flexibility available to suit your needs. Just let us know when we chat!

Your Role

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be the backbone of our healthcare facilities, ensuring they operate smoothly and safely. You’ll be the first point of contact for reactive maintenance, working closely with our contract team to uphold exceptional service standards across both locations. This is your chance to truly make a difference in the wellbeing of patients and staff!

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance, including emergency lighting testing, fire alarm activation testing, and generator testing.
  • Respond to reactive electrical tasks, diagnosing faults and completing first-time fixes whenever possible.
  • Accurately record all maintenance activities on our CAFM system using digital devices.
  • Support subcontractors through induction, monitor their work quality, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
  • Participate in on-call duties (1 week in 3) to ensure continuous building operations.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You hold a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installations (such as C&G 236) and possess Inspection and Testing certification (C&G, 18th Edition).
  • You have a full driving licence and are comfortable traveling between sites.
  • You’re tech-savvy and can easily use digital systems and tablets to update work records and complete tasks.
