Join Our Team as an Assistant Traffic Engineer!

Are you ready to make a difference in traffic engineering? We’re on the lookout for an Assistant Traffic Engineer to join our dynamic Traffic Engineering team in Brixworth, Northamptonshire. In this exciting role, you’ll play a key part in designing and delivering improvement schemes that create safer and more efficient networks across North and West Northamptonshire.

Location & Hours

Location: Brixworth, Northamptonshire – Office-based with agile working options available.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week – Some flexibility on hours can be discussed during the application process.

Your Responsibilities

As an Assistant Traffic Engineer, you will contribute to the successful delivery of various traffic engineering schemes, including:

  • Supporting the planning and delivery of traffic engineering projects in line with specifications and budgets.
  • Producing detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Assisting with the preparation of Bills of Quantities and project documentation.
  • Collaborating closely with engineers and designers to develop effective technical solutions.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you have:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, with some experience in traffic engineering or highway design.
  • A solid understanding of traffic and highway design principles.
  • Experience using AutoCAD, along with relevant software such as Keysign and Keyline.
  • An awareness of Health & Safety requirements, including CDM 2015.
