Location & Hours
- Location: Shrewsbury with agile working options
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week (some flexibility available)
- Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per year + excellent benefits

Your Responsibilities
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting our Shropshire commercial team. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Assisting with pricing capital maintenance schemes, including surfacing, drainage, and structural repairs
- Supporting cost management for winter maintenance, emergency response, and street scene activities
- Assessing valuations, calculating payments, and monitoring subcontractor performance
- Contributing to monthly Cost Value Reports and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Collaborating with the commercial team on various duties as required
What We’re Looking For
This role could be a perfect fit for you if you:
- Have experience in construction, ideally in a commercial or quantity surveying environment
- Are confident using Microsoft Excel and comfortable with digital tools
- Possess strong numerical skills and a keen eye for detail, taking pride in producing accurate work
- Are currently studying towards, or open to studying for, a commercial or quantity surveying degree
- Enjoy working as part of a team, with a positive approach to problem-solving and collaboration
