Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level? We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to join our dynamic regional build team based in Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects while collaborating with a supportive team in a flexible environment!

Location & Hours

Location: Southampton - Enjoy the flexibility of remote working with occasional travel to the office.

Hours: 40 hours per week, with some flexibility available. Just let us know your preferences when we chat!

Your Role & Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in planning and delivering structures work across our contracts. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the Contracts Manager and Programme Manager to plan works and inspections, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to contract requirements.
  • Attending internal and external meetings to provide programme updates and work closely with inspectors and engineers to keep project schedules on track.
  • Monitoring programmes daily, capturing essential notifications, and identifying critical activities for successful delivery.
  • Tracking key performance indicators and managing task requests from clients while developing design and build delivery programmes for client approval.
  • Reviewing health and safety documentation, ensuring subcontractor risk assessments meet standards, and overseeing the completion of safety files and certificates.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You hold an HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering and have an SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
  • You have experience in traffic management, highways environments, rail, or London Underground projects.
  • You’re comfortable managing multiple schemes and projects simultaneously.
  • You possess a full driving licence to visit depots and sites as required.
