About the Role

Are you ready to take your culinary career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant Butlin's Buffets Department in Skegness!

In this exciting role, you will report directly to the Kitchen Manager and play a crucial part in running our bustling kitchen. You’ll lead a fantastic team of talented chefs and step up in the Kitchen Manager's absence. Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring and enhancing guest experiences through continuous improvement.
• Leading daily briefings and supporting team growth.
• Managing stock control and ensuring food presentation meets our high standards.
• Delivering food cost budgets through effective menu planning.
• Upholding food hygiene standards and health & safety regulations.

As a role model for Butlin’s unique way of working, you’ll inspire your team to create memorable experiences for our guests, especially in our main buffet restaurant serving half-board dining packages.

Key Responsibilities

We’re looking for someone with experience in a similar role, especially in a high-volume environment. Our buffet department can serve up to 3,000 guests per service, so being able to thrive in a fast-paced setting is essential!

• A hardworking and determined individual who loves to get things done.

• An energetic and enthusiastic team player who understands the value of guest experience.
• A confident leader with a Level 3 Food Safety qualification.

In this role, you’ll also manage margins, control costs, and ensure all health, safety, and hygiene standards are met. We believe our chefs are exceptional, and we want someone who is fun-loving and eager to contribute to our guests' unforgettable experiences!

Working Conditions:

• This role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days, totaling 40 hours.
• Shift times: 6 AM - 12 PM.
• Please note: This role does not come with onsite accommodation.

Join Our Cleaning Team!

We’re also seeking dedicated cleaning team members who can add that extra sparkle to our guests' holidays by keeping our resort clean and pristine. If you’re ready to go the extra mile for our team and guests, we’d love to welcome you!

We are looking for candidates who:

• Can clean our main venues and toilets using electrical and mechanical cleaning equipment (full training provided).
• Are comfortable handling cleaning chemicals (full training provided).
• Can assist with external road cleaning, including emptying waste and recycling bins.
• Can move furniture to accommodate various activities within venues.
• Will clean and disinfect toilets and changing rooms.

Normal Working Hours:

• Evening shift: 5 PM - 2 AM.
• Applicants must be over 18 due to lone working requirements.
• Start and finish times may vary depending on the break type.
