Your Work Environment
You’ll be part of the Holloway cluster, covering areas like Holloway, Islington, Highbury, Finsbury Park, Camden, and Kentish Town. Enjoy the freedom of working in your local area with a clearly planned schedule of appointments—no reactive callouts, just organized, pre-booked work!
What to Expect
Your day will start with a clear digital schedule, and you’ll carry out:
- Routine servicing
- Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
- In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop
- Member advice and recommendations based on your inspections
- Vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards
With SMR, you’ll have the time to do the job properly, supported by a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, full tool set, and advanced diagnostics.

What You’ll Need
- Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
