Important Eligibility Criteria
Due to the sensitive nature of our site, BPSS security clearance is required, which can take up to 8 weeks. Candidates must:
- Hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country.
- Have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.
Your Role
As an Engineering Surveyor (Machine Control), you will play a crucial role in our exciting redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site. Your expertise will support essential survey machine-controlled plant operations and ensure precision and quality throughout our construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Check and maintain survey control networks, supporting machine control applications for excavation, demolition, and drilling operations.
- Create and verify design models for machine control, completing operational checks and providing detailed reports through laser scanning and point cloud modeling.
- Ensure accurate collection and recording of survey data, operating equipment to the highest precision standards.
- Collaborate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to align construction programs with survey operations.
- Support quality control procedures in accordance with QC1 requirements, maintaining excellent standards of traceability and reporting.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
- Hold a degree, diploma, or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or Construction, with 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Have experience with Leica Machine Control equipment and surveying tools, including total stations, GPS/GNSS, and laser scanners.
- Are proficient in survey data processing software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Leica Infinity, Leica Cyclone, and Leica 3DR.
- Understand QC1 procedures and possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Hold a CSCS Card, relevant site safety qualifications, and are a member of CInstCES (or working towards full membership) or another professional body.
