About The Role
Are you ready to take your culinary career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Junior Kitchen Manager/Sous Chef to join our vibrant team at Papa John’s! Reporting directly to the Kitchen Manager/Head Chef, you’ll play a crucial role in running our kitchen and leading a dynamic team of up to 10 passionate individuals.
At the heart of our values is the commitment to making our guests smile. You’ll ensure that every operational decision keeps our guests at the forefront. Your responsibilities will include:
- Resource planning and recruitment to build the best team.
- Monitoring guest experiences and developing action plans for continuous improvement.
- Managing food cost budgets through effective menu planning and cooking to standards.
- Ensuring compliance with food hygiene standards and health and safety regulations.

To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
- Confidence in leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- A hardworking and determined attitude, always looking for ways to improve.
- A fun-loving spirit that contributes to a positive team atmosphere.
While previous experience at Papa John’s and achieving your ROC or AROC qualification is a plus, it’s not essential as we provide full training!

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
- Experience in a similar kitchen role, or a desire to advance your career.
