We’re on the lookout for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Shropshire Term Service Contract team in beautiful Shrewsbury. In this pivotal role, you’ll support the delivery of essential road maintenance schemes for Shropshire Council.
The Shropshire Term Service Contract covers a diverse range of activities, including:
- Surfacing
- Surface dressing
- Drainage
- Structural repairs
- Winter maintenance
- Emergency response
- Street scene services
Key Details
Location: Shrewsbury - Hybrid working
Hours: Permanent Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (some flexibility available)
Salary: £42,500 - £47,500 per year + private healthcare + £5,900 annual car allowance + additional benefits

Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be at the forefront of:
- Pricing capital maintenance schemes, including surfacing and drainage
- Overseeing cost management for winter maintenance and emergency response
- Assessing valuations and managing subcontractor performance
- Contributing to month-end Cost Value Reports and identifying areas for improvement
- Supporting the commercial team with various tasks as needed

- A strong background in quantity surveying with extensive experience
- A degree in a commercial, construction, or related discipline
- Confidence in using Microsoft Excel and digital tools for reporting
- Well-developed numerical skills with a keen eye for detail
