Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our dynamic Design team in Birmingham. Enjoy the flexibility of remote working with occasional office visits, all while contributing to impactful projects for esteemed clients like National Highways, TfL, SWTRA, and Local Highway Authorities.

  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week (flexibility available)
  • Salary: Starting from £45,000 per annum

Your Role

As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality structural engineering solutions across all project stages, from feasibility to construction. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the delivery of highway structures design, inspection, and assessment.
  • Acting as Lead Designer, coordinating and managing technical outputs of project teams.
  • Ensuring compliance with standards, client briefs, and quality management systems.
  • Applying value engineering and innovation to enhance safety, buildability, and efficiency.
  • Supporting and developing engineers, technicians, and graduates within the team.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Are Chartered or Incorporated (MICE / MIStructE or equivalent), or working towards this.
  • Have experience delivering highway structures design to UK standards, including Eurocodes.
  • Can manage technical delivery with minimal supervision and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence.
