Eligibility Requirements
- BPSS security clearance is required (this process can take up to 8 weeks).
- Must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country.
- Must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Engineering Surveyor (Assurance), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards throughout the construction process. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assurance surveys for reinforced concrete structures, including pre-pour and post-pour checks, and as-built surveys using laser scanning.
- Maintaining survey control networks and operating survey equipment with precision in a civils environment.
- Supporting engineers with setting out activities and preparing survey reports, drawings, and data outputs.
- Coordinating with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to align construction programs with survey operations.
- Managing quality control procedures in accordance with QC1 requirements, ensuring traceability and reporting standards are met.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
- Hold a degree, diploma, or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or Construction.
- Have 3-5 years of experience in a similar surveying position on civil engineering projects.
- Are proficient with surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS/GNSS, and laser scanners, along with survey data processing software like AutoCAD Civil 3D, Leica Infinity, Cyclone, and 3DR.
- Possess a strong understanding of QC1 procedures and quality documentation in a civils context, with excellent attention to detail.
- Hold a CSCS Card and relevant site safety qualifications, and are a member of CInstCES (or working towards full membership).
