Fareham, Hampshire
Contract:
Permanent, Full Time - 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Evenings/Nights)
Salary:
£13.45 to £15.83 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. Plus, enjoy opportunities for overtime, call-out pay, and additional compensation for night work!
Your Responsibilities:
As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Area 3 network. Your daily tasks will include:
- Carrying out highways maintenance duties as instructed, including winter maintenance when necessary.
- Responding promptly to incidents on the network and liaising with the Regional Network Hub Control Centre.
- Promoting excellent customer care by working closely with team members to ensure courteous interactions with clients and network users.
- Conducting daily defect reports on vehicles and ensuring they are maintained in good order.
What We’re Looking For:
This role is perfect for you if you have:
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid UK Driving Licence or LGV Cat C.
- Experience and knowledge of strict health and safety operations and their practical implications.
- The ability to work night shifts and participate in the out-of-hours call-out roster.
