Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of road maintenance? We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Shropshire Term Service Contract team based in Shrewsbury. In this pivotal role, you will support the delivery of essential road maintenance schemes for Shropshire Council.

This contract covers a diverse range of activities, including:
- Surfacing
- Surface dressing
- Drainage
- Structural repairs
- Winter maintenance
- Emergency response
- Street scene services
Location & Working Conditions
Location: Shrewsbury - Hybrid working
Hours: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week) - Some flexibility on hours available!
Salary: £42,500 - £47,500 per year + private healthcare + £5,900 annual car allowance + additional benefits.

Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:
- Manage the pricing of capital maintenance schemes, including surfacing, drainage, and structural repairs.
- Oversee cost management for winter maintenance, emergency response, and street scene activities.
- Assess valuations, calculate payments, and manage the performance of allocated subcontractors.
- Contribute to month-end Cost Value Reports, identifying issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the commercial team with various duties as needed.
What We’re Looking For

- A strong background in quantity surveying with extensive experience in a similar environment.
- A degree in a commercial, construction, or related discipline.
- Confidence in using Microsoft Excel and digital tools for commercial insight and reporting.
- Well-developed numerical skills, with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
- A collaborative mindset, capable of building strong working relationships and contributing effectively within a team.
