Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Major Project Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic Mechanical Electrical and Technology team based in the vibrant city of Liverpool.

Location & Hours

Location: Liverpool

Hours: 37.5 hours per week – with some flexibility available to suit your needs!

Salary

Starting from: £50,000 per annum

About the Role

In this exciting position, you’ll lead electrical design on major, complex projects, delivering compliant, sustainable, and buildable solutions from concept through to construction. Working within Kier Design’s in-house consultancy, you’ll collaborate closely with construction and commercial teams to influence design outcomes and drive project success.

  • A Chartered Electrical Engineer (or working towards) with CIBSE or IET?
  • A Senior Electrical Design Engineer with strong building services experience?

Your Responsibilities

As a Major Projects Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of schemes within the Kier Design team, including:

  • Leading electrical design delivery on major infrastructure projects
  • Providing expert technical guidance and assurance
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary design and ensuring compliance
  • Driving BIM, innovation, and sustainability outcomes
  • Managing cost, risk, and stakeholder engagement
  • Reporting progress, risks, and performance to senior leadership

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Are a Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer (CIBSE or IET)
  • Are Chartered or working towards it
  • Have proven senior-level building services experience
  • Possess strong technical, communication, and QA capabilities
  • Can meet BPSS security requirements
