Your Role in the SMR Division
In this exciting position, you’ll be part of the Derby cluster, covering areas like Derby, Burton-upon-Trent, Swadlincote, Long Eaton, and Belper. Forget emergency callouts and unpredictable shifts; you’ll have a clear digital schedule of pre-booked jobs, allowing you to focus on delivering quality work.
What You’ll Do
Your day will be filled with:
- Routine servicing
- Advanced diagnostics using cutting-edge mobile equipment
- In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop
- Providing member advice and recommendations based on your inspections
- Conducting vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards
With a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, and tools at your disposal, you’ll be ready to get people moving safely and confidently from day one!

What You’ll Need
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
