We’re on the lookout for a Highways Maintenance Operative specializing in carriageway and footway reinstatement to join our dynamic Transportation team based in Birmingham. Birmingham (B7 5HR)

Contract:

Permanent, Full-time

Salary:

£27,976 to £33,000 depending on experience + call out + overtime + standby

Your Responsibilities:

As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you will play a crucial role in our Operative team, tackling both reactive and planned highways maintenance tasks. Your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on the network.
  • Operating a variety of plant and equipment effectively.
  • Ensuring site and company equipment is always secure.
  • Raising any problems or queries with your designated supervisor.
  • Completing daily record sheets as required.
  • Using WMS / MMW applications during incidents and emergency repairs.
  • Conducting daily defect reports on vehicles and maintaining them in good order.

This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Are Street Works qualified (units 1-9).
  • Hold a full driving licence.
  • Can work independently and as part of a team.
