Your Role

As a Design Manager, you will be the subject matter expert on your assigned projects, leading the design process and ensuring excellence at every stage. You’ll also have the opportunity to support tender and pre-construction design management on pipeline projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver design information in line with agreed programmes and schedules.
  • Ensure design consultants meet their obligations and adhere to project standards.
  • Assess, mitigate, and manage design-related risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Chair design meetings, write reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Produce design programmes, scopes, responsibility matrices, and schedules while ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and sustainable building standards.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You have demonstrable experience in a design role within a main contractor environment.
  • You hold a relevant construction qualification (Degree/HND or equivalent) in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering.
  • You have experience with BIM Level 2 projects, including COBie data.
  • You possess excellent attention to detail and strong stakeholder management skills.
