Your Role
As a GIS Technician, you will be an integral part of our Digital Delivery team, where your expertise will help us deliver top-notch GIS services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring high accuracy in GIS data creation, management, and analysis.
- Providing dedicated GIS resources to specific areas of the business.
- Advancing GIS solutions that benefit the wider Kier business.
- Training team members on GIS software and applications.
- Preparing maps, reports, and relevant information for stakeholders.
- Capturing location assets using various technologies and GPS tools.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
- Possess a high level of IT competency, including experience with Microsoft Office and complex SQL databases.
- Are familiar with a range of ESRI ArcGIS products across desktop, server/web, and mobile devices.
- Have knowledge of asset management principles and an understanding of GIS applications, spatial analysis, and report generation.
- Stay updated on trends and developments in the geographic information systems field.
Working Conditions
Location: Birmingham
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We offer flexibility on hours, so just let us know what works for you!
Salary: £27,000 to £29,000, depending on experience.
