Global Command Center (GCC)

As part of the GCC, our Operations Engineers play a crucial role in maintaining the heartbeat of our production and broadcast operations. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that ensures smooth sailing through incidents, service requests, and activities across WBD’s News & Sports and Entertainment properties.

Your New Role

As an Operations Engineer, you’ll be the first line of defense, handling incoming calls, communications, and tickets. Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing first-call triage, resolution, dispatch, and escalation on incidents, from low priority to on-air emergencies.
• Monitoring services and equipment across a variety of systems and technologies.
• Coordinating communication around major incidents that impact operations.
• Logging all incidents and requests in an industry-standard IT Service Management tool.
• Engaging with WBD production teams, engineering groups, on-air talent, journalists, and editors globally, 24/7.

Additionally, you’ll have the chance to shadow other engineering teams and participate in larger projects, including cabling and equipment installation, integration, and testing across various facilities.

Your Role Accountabilities

• Technology: Competence in digital audio & video studio environments, control systems, and a strong understanding of IP production environments (SMPTE 2022/2110).
• Production: A solid grasp of the production and editorial process and how technology failures can impact content production.
• Leadership & Management: Ability to lead major incident responses, set priorities, and provide clear communication to stakeholders.
• Service Management: Understanding of service management processes, including incident management and service reporting.

Working Conditions

This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours will be carried out at the workplace. Please note that WBD reserves the right to adjust this working agreement as necessary to meet business needs.
