Are you ready to make a difference in your community? We're on the lookout for a Highways Maintenance Operative to join our dedicated team in Towcester, Northamptonshire.

Key Details

Location: Towcester, Northamptonshire
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £28,000 to £29,800 per annum (based on experience and qualifications)

Your Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our highways maintenance team, where you'll play a vital role in delivering essential carriageway, footway, and drainage works across the local area. As a member of our close-knit team, you'll help improve and maintain the infrastructure that keeps our communities connected and safe.

What Will You Be Responsible For?

As a Highways Operative, you will:

  • Operate light plant equipment such as compressors, rollers, disc cutters, and vibrating plates, ensuring their daily upkeep.
  • Assist skilled team members with kerbing, drainage, paving, bricklaying, and surfacing works.
  • Excavate materials using hand and powered tools safely and efficiently.
  • Perform general site duties including sweeping, cleaning, litter picking, and handling materials and equipment.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive working environment for all team members.

  • You hold relevant certificates and qualifications for this type of work.
