Role Responsibilities

As an Assistant Manager, you will:

  • Support the Centre Director in overseeing daily operations and maintaining educational standards.
  • Develop & deliver an engaging, high-quality curriculum tailored to children’s needs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain health & safety standards.
  • Provide leadership & mentorship to staff, ensuring a cohesive and motivated team.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and promoting a positive nursery experience for families.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling, payroll, and recruitment.
  • Manage operational records and support financial planning to ensure sustainability.

Required Qualifications

We are looking for an ideal Assistant Manager candidate who has:

  • A Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
  • Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory experience an advantage—ideally as a Nursery Room Leader, Nursery Room Manager, or Nursery Practitioner.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills to inspire and support your team.
  • A passion for fostering children’s development and creating positive relationships with families.
