Are you ready to make a difference in your community? We’re looking for a Traffic Management Operative to join our dynamic highways maintenance team in Towcester. This is your chance to play a vital role in ensuring the safety of work sites across the region!
Location & Hours
Location: Towcester – site-based, 5 days per week
Hours: Permanent, Full-time (40 hours per week)
Salary: £31,000 - £35,000 per year + excellent benefits

Your Responsibilities
As a Traffic Management Operative, you will work closely with dedicated maintenance teams, providing essential traffic management support for various projects, including carriageway, footway, and drainage works. This hands-on role not only allows you to develop your skills but also contributes to the improvement of local road networks.
- Conduct traffic management risk assessments to ensure site safety.
- Review and implement traffic management arrangements for minor works.
- Support maintenance activities such as hand sweeping, cleaning, and litter picking.
- Safely load, unload, and handle materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with your team to deliver high-quality maintenance projects.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for someone who:
- Holds LANTRA Traffic Management qualifications at T1/M1 and T2/M2 levels.
- Brings hands-on experience from highway maintenance or a similar field.
- Has completed relevant SHE matrix training for the role.
- Is committed to working safely and prioritizes the well-being of colleagues and the public.
