As an Investigation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our bank's reputation and ensuring financial integrity. You will lead intelligence reviews, oversee investigations, and manage relationships within our highest-risk client portfolio. Your work will involve investigating potential non-compliance, fraud, misconduct, and unethical behavior, making evidence-based decisions that uphold our commitment to regulatory and compliance standards.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Investigations: Take charge of complex Financial Crime cases and make definitive risk decisions.
- Review Evidence: Assess customer risk and act as the decision-maker to conclude cases with authority.
- Lead a Team: Guide and support a team of investigators across multiple sites, focusing on leadership rather than hands-on processing.
- Analyze Intelligence: Gather data and manage relationships within a high-risk business banking client portfolio.
- Present Findings: Clearly communicate well-reasoned risk decisions and findings to senior stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
- Essential: Experience in AML, KYC, due diligence, or risk assessment management.
- Essential: Strong understanding of AML laws, regulations, and compliance frameworks (e.g., Wolfsberg, JMLSG, AML4/5/6, FATF).
- Essential: In-depth knowledge of high-risk industry sectors and money laundering threats posed by Business Banking clients.
- Essential: Proven ability to make active risk decisions and assessments, beyond generic KYC document gathering.
- Desirable: Formal qualifications in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), such as an ICA Diploma or CAMS certification.
- Desirable: Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in specific sectors or entities.
- Desirable: Experience managing high-quality due diligence reviews.
