We are excited to invite a dedicated Registered Manager to lead our brand new 4-bed home in Doncaster.
About the Role
As the Registered Manager, you will hold the key responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home. Your leadership will ensure that we deliver a high-quality level of care, promoting the rights of young people and supporting their transitions into adulthood.
Main Responsibilities
- Service and Practice: Develop and deliver high-quality care in line with legislation and organizational policies.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of care workers to achieve positive outcomes for young people.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records for both young people and staff, implementing monitoring systems.
- Meetings: Prepare for and chair various internal and external meetings.
- On-Call Duties: Participate in on-call responsibilities and cover shifts as needed.
- Admissions Oversight: Manage all admissions and discharges to the home.
- Innovation: Introduce new techniques and approaches to childcare provision.
Human Resource Management
- Recruit and induct new employees, ensuring all checks are completed.
- Supervise and appraise staff in line with organizational policies.
- Oversee continuous professional development and mandatory training.
- Manage grievances, complaints, and disciplinary matters as needed.
Management of Resources
- Monitor the service budget and ensure financial targets are met.
- Ensure the maintenance of service premises and equipment.
External Affairs
- Promote the organization positively with external agencies and the public.
- Liaise with commissioners regarding admissions.
- Contribute to psychotherapy leadership and management forums.
What We’re Looking For
- Enthusiasm: A genuine passion for providing the highest quality care and education.
- Experience: Proven experience in managing a team.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position, requiring 39 hours per week. Some sleep-in duties will be required as per the home’s rota, along with occasional office days for administrative tasks.
