Salary: Up to £37,500 plus an SEN allowance of £2,679

Contract: Full-time, term time only (Part-time candidates, 3 days per week, are also welcome!)

Location: Ruddington, Nottinghamshire

Since our opening in November 2022, we have been expanding to accommodate the growing needs of our Lower School (ages 7-13).

With class sizes capped at 6 pupils, each class is supported by a qualified teacher and up to 2 teaching assistants. We cater to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as various diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, and mild to moderate learning needs.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Support the class team in facilitating learning and promoting positive behaviors.
  • Monitor student progress and collaborate with staff to meet individual needs.
  • Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities and trips.
  • Build positive relationships to support learning outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree-level education
  • Experience teaching GCSE Science at the secondary level
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEMH
  • Strong behavior management skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
