The Role

As a Captain with Etihad, you will hold the ultimate authority for the safe and efficient operation of every flight. Your responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the safety and security of crew, passengers, cargo, and aircraft at all times.
  • Exercising full command of the aircraft from taxi-out to final engine shutdown.
  • Leading the flight and cabin crew with strong decision-making and effective resource management.
  • Operating efficiently and responsibly, in line with our sustainability policies.
  • Delivering consistent On Time Performance to uphold our commitment to reliability and guest satisfaction.

What You'll Bring

To be considered for the role of Captain A320, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of 5500 hours total flying time.
  • At least 2500 PIC hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit aircraft.
  • A minimum of 1500 PIC hours on the A320 Family.
  • Recent experience flying the A320 family within the last 12 months.
  • Valid type rating on A320 for a minimum of 2 months at the time of joining.
  • Unrestricted and current ICAO ATPL and Class 1 medical.
  • Must be under 59 years old on the day of joining.
  • Current TRE/TRI is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) at Level 4 or higher.
